Back in the Saddle Again

8_aug_07_ride Today's ride was fast, with hills at the start and two big climbs towards the end. Mid-winter here in Wellington and today was pretty typical with strong northwesterly winds and 11 degrees.

The usual treat was to stop half way, while along the entrance to Wellington Harbour, at Chocolate Fish for a flat white and a bisquit, which is Kiwi for a cup of coffee with creme and a cookie.

Two good hours on the bike and the weariness from the start of the week is gone. Now, only three more days in Wellington and we leave for New York! Hopefully the weather will hold (no rain, please) and I can get in a few of these nice cold weather rides before heading back into the heat of summer in the city.
